Planting with a Purpose Celebrates Successful Inaugural Season Serving More Than 50 Families
From May through August 2026, families across the Atlanta area came together for the inaugural season of Planting with a Purpose, a hands-on community wellness and food sustainability initiative presented by the Center for Truth and Healing, the Nation of Cherut, and the Ishola Empire.
Throughout the season, more than 50 families learned how to grow herbs, vegetables, and other foods while gaining practical knowledge about how what they grow can be used for nutrition, wellness, natural remedies, and everyday household purposes.

Planting with a Purpose was about more than gardening. Families spent meaningful time together, children learned alongside parents and grandparents, and neighbors had an opportunity to connect while building a stronger sense of community.
Participants also had access to preventative wellness resources through Lifeline Health and the Cherut Clinic of Care, which provided early-detection health scans during the program.
Much of the inaugural season was hosted at J Blade Ranch in Ellenwood, Georgia, where families could learn and grow together in an outdoor setting. The season concluded with a final community session at Mountain View Baptist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
The program was made possible through collaboration with partners including J Blade Ranch, Building Unity Community, Mountain View Baptist Church, Seed Life Foundation, and other community organizations and supporters committed to health, education, food sustainability, and stronger families.
The first season may have ended, but the seeds planted extend far beyond the gardens.
Planting with a Purpose is helping families rediscover the power of growing food, caring for their health, strengthening family bonds, and building communities capable of sustaining themselves for generations to come.
